Sales processes
Creation of sales documents 🔗︎
When creating a sales document, e.g. a sales order, the field Affective for commission is always prefilled with the value „Yes“ (check mark) and can be changed by the user. For each sales order, you can therefore decide individually whether the sales order is „Effective for commission“ or not.
The commission values calculated in each case are displayed in the sales lines in the columns Commission % and Commission amount (MW).
If the sales document is Commission Effective, it is also important that the seller code in the sales header is filled. Only then can commission determination be carried out on the basis of the salesperson when the lines are entered.
During the entry of sales lines, the commission values % are determined using the posting date and the salesperson commissions and their validity and priority order and are displayed in the Commission % field. Since the field is editable, the user can also change the percentage rate.
Notes during editing:
-
If the Commission Effective checkbox in the document header is removed, the entries in the Commission % field in the lines are deleted. When the check mark is set again, the system asks whether Commission % in the lines should be recalculated.
-
If you change the salesperson code in the header, the system also always asks whether the Commission % in the lines should be recalculated.
For foreign currencies, the commission amounts are converted into the client currency using the currency exchange rate valid on the posting date.
After the sales order has been released, the commission amounts [field commission amount (MW)] are calculated and displayed on the basis of the % data (field commission %). The amounts cannot be changed.
When sales orders and sales complaints are archived, the values commission % and commission amount (MW) are inherited by the archived document.
Posting sales documents 🔗︎
The commission items that refer to the customer items created for the document type sales invoice or sales credit memo are created during the following postings of the sales documents:
-
Posting of invoicing from the sales order
-
Posting of the UK invoice
-
Posting of the invoicing from the UK complaint
-
Booking of the UK credit note
When deliveries or return deliveries are invoiced indirectly via collective invoices or credit memos, the salesperson and the posting date in the document header are used to determine the commission %.
The commission items formed can be called up from the salesperson card:
For each commission item, a detailed commission item of the item type Commission is created in addition to each invoice line or credit memo line with a commission article.
**Note:**The values Commission % and Commission amount (MW) are also inherited in the lines of the posted invoice and credit memo.
Whether the commission items can already be invoiced after invoice issue or only after payment receipt depends on the method selected in the Customer & Sales Setup.
-
variant A: Payment to representative: Outgoing invoice
-
variant B: Payment to representative at: receipt of payment
Variant A 🔗︎
If the outgoing invoice is sufficient for the billability of the commission, the detailed commission items of the item type Commission receive the commission amount directly in the field Commission amount billable (MW).
Variant B 🔗︎
If the outgoing invoice is not sufficient for the billability of the commissions, but only when the incoming payment is received/refunded, the detailed commission items of the item type Commission do not receive the commission amount until the Commission amount expected (MW) field.
When posting the incoming payment or the refund via the Zlg.-Eing. Book entry and clearing the customer items (document type invoice or credit memo), a further detailed commission item of item type payment is created for the corresponding commission item, which then receives the commission amount in the Invoiceable commission amount (MW) field. The value in the Commission amount expected (MW) field is entered with a reversed sign, so that the Commission amount expected (MW) of the corresponding commission item is reduced in total or 0.
If the item clearing of the customer item was not carried out directly when the incoming payment or refund was received, and therefore the detailed commission item of item type Invoiced was not created, this can be done from the commission items using a manual function:
For the subsequent creation of detailed commission items of item type Invoiced, you only need to specify a posting date for the items to be created.
Creation of the commission calculation 🔗︎
In the last step, a commission calculation can be created for billable commission items with amounts in the field Commission amount billable (MW).
From the sales card, the purchase invoice for the sales agent’s commission can be created using the BONI Create commission invoice action. The vendor stored on the salesperson is used to create the purchase invoice.
A request page opens, which in this case is already pre-filtered for the seller AGENT01.
When confirmed with “OK”, the purchase invoices are created and the number of purchase invoices created is displayed.
If you confirm the display of the purchase invoices with “Yes”, a list form of the created purchase invoices opens and the purchase invoice can be called up and further processed:
In the purchase invoice, an article surcharge/deduction line is created for each billable commission item, whereby the fields No. and Unit code are taken from the Customers & Sales entry. The link to the commission item is made using the field Commission item current. No..
The quantity 1 for the allocation for invoices and -1 for credit memos is automatically divided between the sales delivery lines and return lines respectively.
Note: In the commission items, the amount is now also displayed in the field “Commission amount in EK invoice (MW)”.
After posting the purchase invoice, new detailed commission items of item type Invoiced are created for each commission item, which then receive the amount in the Invoiced commission amount (MW) field. The value in the field Commission Amount Invoiced (MW) is entered with a reversed sign, so that the Commission Amount Invoiced (MW) of the corresponding commission item is reduced in total or 0.
